connect, grow & thrive.

The Race – The Details

On April 29th we will take part in the Stadtlauf race, running as a team  to raise money for the charity No More Walking which is supporting unaccompanied minors living in refugee camps in Greece.

Here are the details:

If you have not already signed up please do so by filling out this form the deadline is April 2!!

We will then sign up as a team and run in the team race which is 7.2 km. You can either train by yourself or join one of the many running groups including the lili centre group.

We will contact you to find out how much you are hoping to raise for the charity and donate as one group. We will also give you all the details of where to be, when etc…

The Stadtlauf is a very popular race with many locals as it can even be run by people with young babies in buggies. The atmosphere downtown is also really great. So be sure to come along and cheer the runners, or even pledge to donate some money towards the cause.

No More Walking has been Helping Unaccompanied Minors find their path in life.

In 2015, almost 90,000 asylum seekers in the European Union were unaccompanied children under 18 years old. A total of 2,300 unaccompanied minors live in Greece, half of which still in unfit conditions.

We want to continue supporting them by giving as many as possible access to safe, nurturing environments where they can grow and develop.

With your help, in 2016, we supported great initiatives that impact these children’s lives. In total, more than 130 unaccompanied minors benefited from our contributions, five of which will be receiving life changing, long term support. This year all the funds collected will support the work done by METAdrasi to ensure safe accommodation for unaccompanied minors.

For the first time this year we are joined by Just Running, runners around Europe who will show their solidarity and carry the message to every country. 50 runners, from 18 nations, will be running in their home towns between April and August in solidarity with the unaccompanied minors in Greece.

More details about the charity can be found here.

Join us for lots of fun and all for a good cause!
