The Luzerner Määs is now in full swing and is the perfect event to keep the whole family occupied for a few hours this weekend! The fair has over 100 wooden stalls selling delicious treats and autumn crafts as well as the Luna park with plenty of rides to keep the kids (and bigger kids) entertained. The stalls are open daily from 10:00 – 19:00 and the Luna Park stays open until 23:00 on Friday and Saturday! For more information click here.
Starting this Thursday (5 October) and running until Sunday (8 October) is the ’Bauen + Wohnen’ exhibition at the Messe, Luzern (Horwerstrasse 87 6005 Luzern). The event will appeal to homeowners, future builders, architects and anyone with an interest in home design! With over 300 exhibitors and a focus on energy-efficient design and sustainability this exhibition is a great starting point for anyone with plans, or dreams, to design their own home! The event is open from 10:00 – 18:00 each day and tickets cost CHF 12.- for adults and CHF 7.- for students (children up to the age of 16 are free).
On Saturday evening at the Musikzentrum, Sedel (Sedelhof 2, 6020 Emmenbrücke) country band Birdcloud will be preforming! The group comes from Nashville, USA and are known as ‘the most dangerous group in country music!’ With provocative lyrics and a risqué album cover (currently banned on Facebook) these two are not quite John Denver or Dolly Parton… The performance starts at 21:00, for more information click here.
The Luzener Kilbi Market takes place traditionally each year on the second Sunday in October. With lots of small stalls selling delicious treat including candy floss, roasted chestnuts, cheese and gingerbread. There is also a clown with balloons to keep the kids entertained!
