On Friday the ‘Luzern Christmas and Crafts Market’ will be at Hirschenplatz and Weinmarkt. With a wide variety of stalls selling various craft products this is a great opportunity to buy a unique gift or simply have a browse if you happen to be walking through town.
And if you haven’t caught him already Samiclaus will be at the Maihof-Kirchenplatz from 17:00 this Friday. The Maihofsamichlaus is a group belonging to the parish of St. Josef in Luzern, committed to keeping the Samichlaus tradition alive! For more information click here.
And finally on Friday evening Das Zelt (Chapiteau PostFinance Alpenquai, 6005) presents “Merry Blissmass – Die Comedy-A-Capella Weihnachtsshow” preformed by comedy group Bliss. The group are the most successful ‘comedy-a-cappella’ formation in Switzerland and have been entertaining audiences with their show “Merry Blissmas” for the past few years. This weekend the Weihnachtscircus Olympia is in town (Thursday 7 Dec – Sunday 10 Dec) at the Parkplatz Brüelmoos, 6000 Luzern. With performers from around the world and a show to appeal to all ages this is great entertainment for all the family! Tickets can be purchased online here.
If you’ve ever wanted to try night-skiing or night-sledging the slopes at Sattel Hochstuckli will be open this Saturday evening from 19:00 – 21:30! An evening ski pass is just CHF 22.- per person or CHF 60.- for a family pass and the cable car in Sattel is only 40 mins drive from Luzern. More information can be found here.
Sunday is City Kids Day in Luzern. From 10:00 – 17:00 there will be plenty of activities taking place to keep the little ones entertained whilst you get on with some of the Christmas shopping! The programme includes a magic show from 11.00 – 12.00, a ‘Make your own Christmas ornament’ workshop from 13.00 – 14.30 and much more! Christmas with the King’s Singers is at 11:00 on Sunday at the KKL (Europaplatz 1, 6005). The group was originally formed in 1968 and has evolved over time! It currently comprises of six singing gentlemen from the UK who have preformed to audiences around the world! Tickets start at CHF 48.- and can be brought online here.
