Looking for a different way to enjoy fondue this weekend? The Rigi fondue train departs this Friday evening at 18:50 from Goldau! The journey takes you and your fellow passengers to the top of the mountain onboard the heated vintage train. The evening costs CHF 79.- per person and include the train journey, an aperitif, fondue with bread and potatoes as well as coffee, Rigi cherry brandy and a dessert! You can find out more here!
This Friday evening at the Hotel Restaurant FeRUS (Rothenburgstrasse 45, 6020 Emmenbrücke) is ‘Fleisch, Schall & Rauch’ (translation: meat, sound and smoke)! Where they will be celebrating good food alongside the cult hits of the 60s, 70, & 80s with DJ Güni. Dinner is served from 18:00 and at 21:00 the music starts! Fun for all the family this Friday evening is the Spaghetti Festival and night sledging at the Erlebnis-Restaurant Rossweid (6174 Sörenberg). The popular ski resort of Sörenberg is in Entlebuch and easily accessible from Luzern by both train and car. You can enjoy a fun evening of night sledging and then a hearty meal! The menu costs CHF 25.00 for adults, CHF 15.00 for children (6 to 12 years) and includes salad and spaghetti with a choice of 4 different sauces. The Gondelbahn and sledge rental is extra. On Saturday evening at the Luzerner Theatre (Theaterstrasse 2, 6003 Luzern) is Manon, an operatic tragedy by Jules Massenet. Originally written in 1884 the central conflict of the novel still resonates today: society will readily forgive men almost any flaw, but punishes women all the more severely for much smaller indiscretions. The performance tells the tale of two individuals fighting for their personal freedom. The performance starts at 19:30 and lasts 2 hours. On Sunday, the 11:00 matinée performance at the KKL (Europaplatz 1, 6005 ) is the Salzburger Neujahrskonzert: Von Gaunern, Gangstern und Ganoven.
