The Historisches Museum, Luzern (Pfistergasse 24, 6003) will be running a holiday programme for kids! On Friday evening (19:30 – 22:30) the Stadtkeller (Sternenplatz 3, 6004 Luzern) presents a ‘Swiss Folklore Dinner Show’! With good food and the unique Stadtkeller atmosphere, you can enjoy an entertaining evening and learn more about the world of Swiss folklore! Traditional Swiss customs with alphorns, cowbells, national costumes, flag throwing and yodelling will add to the experience! This weekend (7. & 8. April) you can step back in time at the “Obergütsch” medieval market! Attractions include live music, a handicraft market with a wide variety of medieval style goods for sale (including linen clothing & swords!) and various stalls selling food and drink! There is also plenty to keep the kids entertained; they can prove their skills at the archery stand, learn how to make something out of felt or immerse themselves in the mysterious world of Märlin the storyteller! The Flohmarkt Luzern (flee market) will be setting up stalls this Saturday from 8:00 till 16:00 in front of the Eurospar in Würzenbach (Würzenbachstrasse 19, 6006)! With all sorts of items on sale this is a great place to pick up a bargain or just have a browse! More information can be found here.
Reckon you’ve got what it takes to be crowned Mario Kart champion 2018?! On Saturday from 12:00 – 18:00 the ‘PRESS START – Mario Kart 8’ tournament will be taking place at the Metzgerhalle Luzern (Baselstrasse 1, 6003). Starting this Sunday, Rugby Club Luzern will be hosting special training sessions for kids! They meet once a week on Sundays from 10:15 – 12:00 at the Allmend, Luzern. The sessions are aimed at girls and boys aged 5-14 and are coached by experienced rugby-enthusiasts who teach the sport with enthusiasm and passion! And finally, any parents looking for an activity to entertain the kids next week (9. – 13. April) might be interested in Science Studio’s ‘Spring Science Easter Workshop’! Children can learn how light colours our world and is essential to science! They can discover how to use colour to study science, learn how colours are mixed to make new shades, the chemical reactions that make colours change, explore how fluorescence is used in research, mix light to create your own colours and more. This safe, fun and educational program is interactive and practical, and includes the use of lab-coats, safety goggles and nitrile gloves.
