After the Post’s CEO resigned it is now the whole management of the Postauto which has been fired followin alleged misconducts. It is unclear who knew what, in this case of inflated bills to get larger subsidies from the government. Expect more details to come to light in the coming weeks.

A helicopter crashed in the canton of Uri on Monday, killing the pilot on the spot. It is unclear what caused the helicopter to crash.

The pink floating stage “seerose” has seen its final hour, this month work will begin to dismantle the 460 tons of steel. For several years now the platform has been rusting away in Flüelen as no one was able to come up with a viable use for it.

Another Lucerne institution is closing this month. The famous Wey bakery will be closing its door at the end of this month. Luckily three Wey bakeries will remain open in Ebikon, Kriens and Littau.
