Friday

It’s the last weekend of the Blue Balls Festival 2018 so why not head into town this evening and check it out! The festival features blues, jazz, soul, funk, world, rock and pop concerts, accompanied by photography, street art, video, film and talks. For full details of the programme click here.

Saturday

For an active start to your Saturday why not join a ‘Runners Yoga Workshop’ lead by Studio Fayo! The first part of the workshop is a 45-minute jog then it’s off to the studio for a 75-minute ‘Runner’s Flow’ yoga session to stretch and strengthen those muscles used whilst jogging. The session costs CHF 50.- per person and the meeting point is in front of Studio Fayo (Rosslimatte 41, 6005 Luzern). The workshop takes place in all weather conditions and towels will be provided. To register click here.

On Saturday evening (21:30) the Open Air Cinema will be screening Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again! Tickets cost just CHF 16.- with a Coop Supercard and can be brought online here. The Cinema is located right by the lake (Aula Alpenquai, 6000 Luzern). Please note the screening will be in German.

Sunday

On Sunday you can join a 2-hour guided tour of the Sonnenberg Tunnel, one of the world’s largest civilian bunkers! The bunker was built between 1970 and 1976 and cost 40 million Swiss Francs to construct. With room for 20,000 beds, if needed, the bunker would have served as shelter for one third of the population of Luzern. The guided tour provides a fascinating insight into the Cold War era and the fear of nuclear war. The tour starts at 11:00 and costs CHF 30.- for adults and CHF 25.- for young people (aged 13-17). To book in advance please send an email to englishtours@unterirdisch-ueberleben.ch. Meeting point for the tour is the Jesuitenplatz, in front of the Jesuit Church in Luzern.
