On Saturday evening at 17:00 is the 81st annual ‘Sternsingen’ in the Altstadt led by the City’s minstrels! The custom dates back to the 10th century when the bible was only translated into Latin, at that time it was common for monks to reenact scriptures through either theatre or song so that ordinary people could understand. The procession starts at the Mariahilfgasse and then continues to the Mühlenplatz, Kornmarkt, Franziskanerplatz, finishing again at the Mariahilfgasse. For more information click here.

On Sunday evening is a Baroque Christmas concert at the Mariahilfkirche in Luzern (Museggstrasse 21, 6004 Luzern). The concert will be conducted by Baroque violinist Éva Borhi and the performance begins at 18:30.
