The first ever Luzern Light Festival (Lilu) runs from 10. to 20. January 2019 and will feature various light installations around the city! Enjoy a winter’s walk through the city between the hours of 18:00 and 20:00 and discover the luminous artworks installed in squares, near tourist attractions and the alleys of the Old Town. The central attraction will be the ‘Genesis light show’ at the Hofkirche (Church of St. Leodegar). You can find out more about the event on the official website here.
The first of six “Vierwaldstätter Konzerte” will be taking place at the Markuskirche (Haldenstrasse 31, 6006 Luzern) on Saturday evening. The Baroque ensemble will feature Hanspeter Oggier, Daniel Rumler, Eugene Lifschitz and Valéry Burot. Tickets cost CHF 35.- for adults and can be brought online here. ‘Der Käse Killer’ is a murder mystery dinner party at the Wilden Mann (Bahnhofstrasse 30,6003 Luzern). You and your fellow dinner guests will be tasked with solving the murder whilst also enjoying a delicious 3-course menu! Looking for an activity to entertain the kids on Sunday? The Natur-Museum (Kasernenplatz 6, 6003 Luzern) will be hosting guided tours for kids throughout the day all about the fascinating lives of wolves in Switzerland.
