Friday evening (20:30) at the Stadtkeller (Sternenplatz 3, 6004 Luzern), Irish meets Folk Pop with ‘Pigeons on the Gate‘! The band already have 3 successful albums and growing airplay on radio and TV. Tickets cost CHF 25.- and can be brought online here.
The warm up to Fasnacht has officially begun and on Friday evening is ‘Sonnechöbler’ at the Pfarreiheim Ebikon (Dorfstrasse 7, 6030 Ebikon)! There will be a Kafibar selling warm ‘Käfeli’ or ‘Teeli’ and of course plenty of ‘Guggenmusik’ to get you in the carnival mood! Entrance is only CHF 14.- and the party is from 19:30 until 03:00! Continuing with the Fasnacht theme, on Saturday afternoon you can join a special guided tour of the city and learn more about the history and traditions of carnival in Luzern! The leisurely tour leads from the Kapellplatz to the Sternenplatz and then through the narrow streets of the old town to the Kornmarkt and Mühleplatz. Starting point is the Tourist Information Office at the main train station (Zentralstrasse 5, 6003 Luzern) and tickets cost CHF 25.- for adults and CHF 10.- for children (aged 6 – 16). On Saturday evening there is a ‘Bikerparty’ taking place at the Infernum Bar in Littau (Staldenhof 18, 6014 Luzern Littau) with rock music and ‘Hindersimagronen’ (a type of Älplermagronen)! Entrance is free, over 18’s only! To find out more click here.
On Sunday afternoon (14:30) at the Kantonsschule Luzern (Alpenquai 46, 6005 Luzern) is ‘Bastlonaut Basil und das grosse Glück’ a new and inspiring fairy-tale from Andrew Bond! Accompanied by witty dialogues, a quick pace, and of course enchanting songs – this is a thrilling singalong musical for both children and adults! Tickets cost CHF 37.20 for adults and CHF 27.00 for children (under 16) and the show is recommended for children aged 4 years or older. Please note the performance will be in Swiss German.
