‘Visual Wonders – trickery, deception & illusion’ is a special exhibition currently on at the Bourbaki Panorama (Löwenplatz 11, 6004). Humans have long been fascinated by optical illusions and from the 1780s, panoramas set a milestone in the creation of illusionary worlds – the first mass media of their time. The exhibition is hosted in collaboration with the Seico collective and the Lucerne School of Art and Design. Runs until 1. December 2019, for more information click here.
“Blind Dates”: On Friday evening sip a cocktail at the Seebar in the KKL (Europaplatz 1, 6005) and enjoy a special performance by a soloist from the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra. The performance starts at 19:00 and lasts approx. 30 minutes. Admission is free. For more information click here.
On Saturday at the Johanneskirche (Schädrütistrasse 26, 6006) is ‘Pfingstklänge’ celebrating the Christian holy day of Pentecost. There will be a number of free concerts taking place throughout the day from 15:30 until 22:00. For more information visit the website.
Football fans, the Konzerthaus Schüür (Tribschenstrasse 1, 6005) will be showing the finals of the UEFA Nations League live in their garden (weather permitting, otherwise indoors)!
