On Friday evening local band ‘Maple Tree Circus’ will be preforming at the Treibhaus in Luzern (Spelteriniweg 4, 6005). Influenced by American folk music they play a thrilling mix of ballads and fast folk tunes. The show starts at 19:00.
Also on Friday evening is ‘Wagner’s Jazz Friday’ at the Sommercafé (Richard-Wagner-Weg 27, 6005). A live jam session from 17:30 with first-class musicians Toni Amadeus Bechtold, David Heizmann and Florian Hoesl. For more information click here.
Zirkus Knie is back in town from 2. – 21. July! The circus was founded by the Knie family in 1803. This year marks the 100th anniversary of when they changed from an open arena show to a covered tent! To find out more click here. Tickets can be brought online here.
An exhibition featuring world famous English painter J.M.W. Turner opens at the Kunstmuseum (Europaplatz 1, 6002) this weekend. Turner visited Luzern several times to study the unique interplay of light and weather, lake and mountains there. Turner. The Sea and the Alps runs from the 6. July until 13. October.
