On Friday evening there is a sushi event taking place at the Gardist wine bar (Bireggstrasse 20A, 6003). The buffet opens at 19:00 with all you can eat sushi for CHF 52.- and a sommelier on hand to recommend accompanying wine. A reservation is recommended. More details on Facebook.


On Saturday morning there is a ‘Loving Your Hips’ yoga workshop taking place at the Yogashala Studio (Grendelstrasse 15, 6004). Asana, Pranyama and meditation to open the hips and release deep tensions. The workshop takes place from 10:00 – 12:00 and costs CHF 55.- per student. Sign up here.

Saturday is also the 42nd annual Würzenbachfest taking place at the Würzenbach-Schulhaus (Kreuzbuchstrasse 60, 6006). The event starts at 12:00 with lots of fun activities for all the family! Find out more here.

‘Luzern tischt auf’ is a free walking tour taking place on Saturday afternoon for those interested in reducing food waste. On the walk you will visit several local restaurants including the Äss Bar and Monopol to learn more about how they are combating food waste. The tour will end at the Einquartier Festival which campaigns for more cultural diversity in central Switzerland. From 16:00 – 17:30, meeting point is the Äss-Bar Luzern (St. Leodegartstrasse 2, 6006). Ideal for families.

The Lucerne Festival is now in full swing with concerts taking place across the city! On Saturday at 17:00 a surprise open air concert will be taking place at the Buvette Bar by the lake. Entrance is free. Find out more here.
