|What’s On| Sept 13 – 15
The Luzerner Weinmesse (wine fair) takes place this weekend (12. – 15. September) at the Kornschütte, Luzern. There will be around 30 wine experts and producers exhibiting their wares. The fair is open from 15:00 – 21:00 Thursday to Saturday and from 13:00 – 19:00 on Sunday. Tickets can be brought online for a reduced price of CHF 12.- (CHF 15.- on the door). Find out more here.
On Saturday afternoon (14:15) at Vögeligärtli in Luzern (Frankenstrasse 12) there will be a funeral procession for 1 million species (Trauermarsch für 1 Million Arten). The action is organised by Klimastreik Zentralschweiz and Extinction Rebellion as part of the XR Swiss Tour. To find out more click here (sign ups are encouraged).
Also happening on Saturday afternoon is a Zero Waste Body workshop at the Lili Centre (Alpenquai 40a, 6005). The workshop will be an introduction to zero-waste living, with a specific focus on toiletries and cosmetic products. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and discover practical zero-waste swaps, followed by a short natural cosmetic workshop and the chance to make your own lip-balm. Sunday is the final day of the Lucerne Festival! And the final performance will be “Ouverture dans la nuit”: A Forest Symphony at the Luzerner Theatre. You are invited on a late summer hike from the city into nature, from day into night, accompanied by the sounds of the street, the river, and the forest. Tickets cost CHF 60.- and can be brought here.
